Where to study
Veterinary nurses are currently utilized in many fields,
with outstanding results, due to the standard and depth of
training received. The Diploma of Veterinary Nursing is a two year, full time course offered by the University of Pretoria, with the practical component being conducted at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital. This diploma is currently the only course in South Africa that is recognized by The South African Veterinary Council as adequate to qualify students as veterinary nurses.
